The Academy of Law Management of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia

International cooperation

International cooperation of the Academy is carried out with foreign countries according to the legislation of the Russian Federation.  

It is provided by organizational and scientific department of the scientific center of the Academy.

The head of the department is Svetlana Chudakova, Lieutenant Colonel, PhD in Law, Associate Professor.

The main tasks of international cooperation of the Academy are the following:

·       establishment and development of partnership with penitentiary services and educational institutions of foreign countries in order to exchange the experience in different spheres of execution of punishments;

·       implementation of European standards into the Russian Penal System;

·       study and development of alternative measures to deprivation of liberty;

·       participation in international scientific conferences and other events;

·       promotion of positive image of the Russian Penitentiary System in the world.
